Office for Health and Management of Animal Diseases:
-Studying,
policy-making and outlining strategic plans for investigation, combating and
protection of animal diseases preferred by notifiable diseases and followed by
their surveillance, evaluation and differentiation;
- Studying,
policy-making and outlining strategic plans for investigation, combating and
protection of joint animal-human diseases followed by their surveillance,
evaluation and differentiation;
- Studying,
policy-making and outlining strategic plans for enforcing a viable surveillance
system on animal-human diseases followed by their monitoring, evaluation and
classification;
- Studying and formulating short, medium and
long-term operational schemes for controlling diseases including prevention,
eradication of animal diseases, joint animal-human diseases and development of
surveillance system on them;
- Derivation of needed codes and conducts
for investigation, combating and protection of animal and animal-human diseases
accompanied by forecasting annual commitments under national plans framework;
- Summing up, analysis and evaluation of
provincial performance in launching plans and projects for controlling animal
diseases;
- Studying and assessment of solicited
information on contagious diseases status amid wilds and pets particularly on
reservoirs/carriers of animal diseases;
- Collection, analysis and tabulation of
animal and joint animal-human diseases favoring adoption of the best and most
effective methods in prevention and uprooting such diseases;
- Compiling plans for prevention, combating
and eradication of emergence/re-emergence of endemic and exotic animal
diseases;
- Investigation and foreseeing needed tools,
equipments, vaccines, biologics, anti-parasite drugs, manpower and other inputs
and monitoring on their distribution and consumption nationwide;
- Studying, investigation and declaring
educational requirements both academic and in-service schedules for
public/private veterinary sectors focusing on combating and protection of
animal and joint animal-human diseases;
- Studying and sharing in applied-research
initiatives in favor of improved controlling activities of animal diseases;
- Cooperation in holding scientific. National,
regional and int’l conferences/meetings related to animal and joint
animal-human diseases;
- Risk analysis, management, and
communicative interaction of endemic/exotic diseases;
- Collaboration with the Ministry of Health
in the areas of protection and controlling joint human-animal diseases;
- Conducting epidemiologic analysis and
identification of the roots and geographical dispersion pattern of animal and
joint animal-human diseases;
- Investigation on quantity and extend of
incidence and economic impacts of animal and joint animal-human diseases;
- Surveying the status quo of pastures,
troughs, stables, farms, animal fields, slaughter-houses, and other
establishments in terms of disease generation potentials;
- Epidemiologic investigation and tracing
the status of exotic diseases;
- Assessment of the impacts of vaccines,
biologics, poisons and drugs application in plans and projects designed for
combating animal diseases;
- Grabbing the latest know-how via domestic
and foreign resources of animal diseases;
- Compiling data and information on animal
and joint animal-human diseases for relaying to int’l specialized agencies e.g.
OIE, FAO, WHO,
- - Summing up and
compiling technical reports, bulletins and documentary packs on animal
diseases;
- -Cooperation and
follow up on expansion of animal insurance coverage.
